🏴🐙SEA LIFE SPOTLIGHT: CURLED OCTOPUS🐙🏴
The curled octopus gets its name from their slender arms which are curled when at rest. They have a single row of suckers compared to the two found on the common octopus and are predominantly red-brown but are capable of changing colour quickly to camouflage into their background.
They are common all around the British isles and are usually found hiding in the rocks near the coast, although its worth looking carefully and with caution - these little guys are only around 50cm across their widest span but they pack a mean punch! 😉😉
What's your favourite sea life to see on a dive in Scotland? Maybe it'll feature in the next #SeaLifeSpotlight 🏴
